Newcastle’s biggest taxi firm is set to give something back to its customers this Summer.
NODA Taxis, which was formed in 1947, is embracing the latest technology in order to give those booking a taxi £5 off their fare.
The scheme, which is available through NODA’s app requires users to create an account with the app where they will be given a code.
This code can then be used on the first fare ordered and when entered will allow the customer to make their £5 saving.
Eddy Binks, NODA taxis’ business development manager said:
“The app offer is our way of saying thank you to our customers who use us again and again. But it’s also a way of welcoming new customers who may not have used us before.
“It’s a chance for them to experience our high levels of service which have helped us become the leading taxi company in Newcastle.”
NODA have also taken the step of scrapping charges on credit card bookings, meaning further savings for customers.
This means that when ordering a taxi and paying by credit card, customers will be charged only their fare, and not booking fee which often leads to higher charges.
Binks said: “There’s nothing worse than a nasty surprise especially when it comes to money and being charged more than you were expecting is never nice.
“With this move we are trying to put the fair back into fare and letting customers know exactly what they are going to pay, upfront with nothing to hide.”
