No Budget for Cash for Kids fundraisers…

Drivers from Budget Taxis will be transforming their cars into Batmobiles for Metro Radio’s Cash for Kids charity day on Friday 15th May.

Ant and Dec are putting their best foot forward to lead hundred of caped crusaders to raise as much money as possible for Bauer Media’s charity. Superhero Day was set up in order to raise as much money as possible for Cash for Kids by inspiring people to go above and beyond to dress as their favourite hero for the day.

The duo Ant and Dec will be stopping off in Newcastle to raise extra money for the charity, including Metro Radio auctioning off the opportunity to meet the pair at their radio station. Hundreds of schools, businesses, individuals, shops, colleges, universities and many others will unite together to raise as much as they possibly can, maybe with the help of some super powers.

Kevin Dixon, from Budget Taxis, has his costume all sorted, “As soon as I heard about the event I knew I had to get the company involved. I bought my Batman costume specially and I hope the customers will see the funny and giving side to my Batmobile, I just can’t wait to get out there and start raising money for such a fantastic cause.”

Budget Taxis, and sister company Noda Taxis, have assembled all of their staff and given them the orders to wear their superhero costumes on Friday for a good cause. They’re even running in house competitions for the biggest money raiser and of course, the best dressed.

Owner Mohammed Suleman, known to all friends and customers as Sully, told us “As soon as Kevin told me about Superhero Day I knew it was something I needed to get my company involved in, it’s a bit of fun that raises lots of money for children who needs it most. We can’t wait to pull on our lycra suits and fly around the streets, safely of course, picking up our passengers”

Anyone can get involved in superhero day, either by dressing up, taking part in sponsored activities or simply donating. For more information about how to get involved, visit www.metroradio.co,uk/superhero or to make a donation of £5, text HAPPY to 70070.
