Peace and Loaf have been named in the Top 100 Best Restaurants 2018 by global online booking website OpenTable. The Top 100 list is compiled from more than 730,000 verified OpenTable diner reviews over the past 12 months. Peace and Loaf are only one of a few restaurants who made the list that is not based in London and the only one in the North East to be named this year.
Over the past few months, Peace and Loaf have been incredibly successful when it comes to awards. In October they were named as runner up for the Best Restaurant and Best Sunday Lunch in the Observer Food Monthly awards and were finalists for North East Restaurant of the Year in the Food Awards England 2018.

To qualify for the award, all restaurants with a minimum number of verified reviews are
included in the initial list for consideration. Then those restaurants are sorted according to an overall score, which takes into account a number of criteria including each restaurant’s average rating, along with that restaurant’s rating relative to others in the same metropolitan area and the average number of reviewed by diners who reviewed that restaurant.
