‘Come Dine with Brian’ – a competition ran by Metro Radio, went down a huge success last month  thanks to the fantastic service and delicious Indian cuisine at the brand new Yuvraaj restaurant in Sunderland.

Metro Radio ran a competition for 30 people to win a three course meal and drinks at Yuvraaj Restaurant on Duoro Terrace, Sunderland, and dine with legendary radio presenter Brian Moore.

The recently refurbished restaurant has undergone a £160,000 makeover from its former glory, known as Café Spice, to provide a modern and relaxed setting with contemporary cuisine. Winners enjoyed a three course meal and left some delightful feedback regarding their experience.  Linda Macdonald said ‘’thanks very much for last night’s event, which Ian and I both enjoyed.  It was lovely to meet Brian and the team! We had a great night out and a wonderful evening.’’

Likewise Deanne Harrison said “amazing time here tonight with Brian and the rest of the metro radio winners, outstanding food, good company and fantastic food 🙂 myself and Brogan Fannen enjoyed ourselves so much.”

With such glowing feedback, it’s easy to see that Yuvraaj is set to be a Sunderland hot spot in years to come and will go from strength to strength with the dishes on offer; there are the staples of most Indian restaurants including onion Bhaji’s, chicken tikka and the age old favourite of a masala, as well as their own speciality dishes Mango Ajwa King Prawn and Hari Mirch Gusth, which is lean slices of tender lamb tikka, with spices and onions – one highly recommended for the spice lover with its three chilli coding on their menu. They also have a dedicated cocktail menu, a first for most Indian restaurants, serving classics like the Mojito as well as their own twist on your favourites, in keeping with their dishes and style.
